The selection here is Wild Savannah, but Glistening, King Forever, Royal Jet and Unfurled also get mentions. The selection finished third on his Newmarket debut, in the Wood Ditton Stakes, and that had the look of a reasonable event this year. As such, normal improvement from that race should see him competitive today. Turning to the others, and Double Kudos's last two runs have been improved efforts, but they have come on the all-weather. Glistening is a half-brother to Tenby and nine other winners and has to be of interest from the Sir Michael Stoute stable. King Forever caught the eye staying on late at Newbury last time and has to be seriously considered, while Marcus Tregoning does pretty well here and he runs Magic Instinct, although the stable has yet to start firing. With Ocean Gift being quite well-regarded (although he finished behind Unfurled last time), Mango Groove being well-related and Royal Jet having shown some solid maiden form, this is quite a competitive heat, but Wild Savannah's Wood Ditton third was a fair effort, and he gets the vote.
