Verdict
Three winners in the last six years for the Hannon yard points to the chance of KING OF ROOKS and the latter has the form to back it up. A Listed winner at Sandown, he helped set a fast pace in the Norfolk Stakes at Ascot and was passed in the closing stages by Ballydoyle's Waterloo Bridge. The latter's success will offer encouragement to Aidan O'Brien who runs Windsor Castle winner Washington Dc and he looks likely to fight this one out with the selection. Lathom finished behind Washington Dc at Ascot and the Fahey colt has since won the valuable Super Sprint at Newbury with Princess Kodia well beaten but the likes of Rouleau, Muhadathat and Kachy all have some improving to do to figure.
