A very tricky race and players on the placepot will be best advised to select a multiple approach for this one. However, Remembrance shaped as if he was ready for a step up to this sort of trip at Sandown last time and he just edges the vote over Midnight Song, Maystock and Rebate. The James Eustace-trained gelding is bred to do better over something like this trip and the way he finished behind Pantone was his most encouraging effort to date. Like so many of the field, he is still open to improvement at this trip and, with the ground in his favour, is a marginal preference over Midnight Song, who need to build on his effort last time to figure. Maystock and Rebate also fit the bill as improving individuals, but the scopey Remembrance is taken to come out on top today.
