Elysian Fields was well beaten in last year’s renewal behind Ralph Beckett’s Simple Verse and the latter runs Pamona this year. She won a Listed race over today’s trip at York recently and has leading claims on that form. Yarrow should last home having been placed in a Listed 1m4f contest at Pontefract while Twitch was well head of Tioga Pass when runner-up in Listed company at Newmarket. California won a handicap at Ascot earlier this month but Frankie stays loyal to stablemate MILL SPRINGS (NAP), third over 2m4f in the Ascot Stakes last month. A Listed winner over 1m6f at the same track last season, John Gosden’s filly may well have more improvement in her back over today’s trip and gets the vote.
