BIG ORANGE beat Quest For More in last year’s renewal with Pallasator fourth and Sheikhzayedroad and Oriental Fox further behind. Michael Bell’s charge looked as good as ever when dropped back to 1m4f and beating The Great Gatsby in a Group 2 at Newmarket last time and another bold bid seems assured. Quest For More should have done better at York last time though he ran well at the same track before that while Curbyourenthusiasm posted his best effort so far on his seasonal debut behind Clever Cookie in the Yorkshire Cup when ahead of Glaring and looks to have been aimed at this. Queen’s Vase winner Sword Fighter beat older horses to land the Group 2 Curragh Cup last time, though this is much tougher. High-class hurdler Commissioned won the Queen Alexandra at Ascot last month with subsequent Listed winner Sandro Botticelli behind and is preferred to fellow top-notch hurdler and Ormonde Stakes runner-up Wicklow Brave.
