    Verdict

PHOENICIAN STAR was last of four at Chepstow and is still a maiden but he is the highest rated in this and probably the one to beat on overall form with the return to a longer trip probably in his favour. Barnay is a possible danger in a first-time visor as he doesn’t have much to find at the weights. Demurrer won over 1m1f at Lingfield last month while Ralph Beckett will be hoping cheekpieces can spark a revival in Font Vert.
