      Verdict

This has attracted a couple of really nice middle-distance prospects in Klondike and GREGORY (NAP). The former pounced late to beat the subsequent Chester winner Banderas at Newbury but the imposing son of Golden Horn was visually more impressive at Haydock when overcoming a tardy start to win going away. He’s a half-brother to last year’s winner Lionel. Batemans Bay holds Galactic Jack on the form book and should be suited by 1m4f this year but Hadrianus was well beaten in the Chester Vase after finishing second at Epsom. Goldenstatewarrior also needs to up his game and Tempered Soul only won a novice stakes at Chelmsford.
