Melinoe has won over the trip though she's never run at this level and was beaten in a Class 4 on her reappearance. The top pair have course and distance victories to their credit but both return to action after long breaks though not as long as Dannyday, who won a consolation race for the Northumberland Plate back in 2016 and hasn't run since. Seafarer has never been this far or performed at this level but Soghan should be ideally suited to the trip having won over 1m4f and 2m and performed with credit over the latter trip at Ascot last time. KOEMAN has yet to tackle the trip but he's been staying on over shorter in recent starts and looks well enough treated, especially with his rider's claim, to get back to winning ways.
