Anna Nerium had Breton Rock in fourth when winning this 12 months ago on soft going. She’s entitled to respect again and her stable also run the three-year-old Fox Champion, who rattled up a hat-trick at the start of the season and has been highly tried since. The latter has a penalty to carry, however, as does Limato, who is not quite the force of old but did win in the grade at Newmarket in June. Di Fede has run well in Listed company the last twice but Suedois is proving hard to place nowadays. MOMKIN ran well in the Jersey Stakes at Royal Ascot and was second over a mile in the Craven Stakes in the spring. He was close up here in this grade last time and can open his account for the season in this granted better luck in-running.
