Trinculo can add to Dandy Nicholls track record at the expense of Spanish Ace, Enchantment and Peopleton Brook. The selection comes from a yard doing well at present and who has a fantastic strike rate at the Sussex track. Trinculo carries a seven pound penalty after his most recent success at York when beating Orientor by three quarters of a length in soft ground while Enchantment was a further three quarters of a length back in third.. The horse has yet to be reassessed by the handicapper so connections are keen to strike while the iron is hot. Stable companions Spanish Ace, Enchantment and Peopleton Brook have been great servants to the Bradley yard and on jockey bookings Spanish Ace looks to be the pick. He won at Warwick and Folkestone last month before running well behind Prince Namid at Beverly last time out when finishing second. More is needed here. Peopleton Brook won over course and distance before winning again at Lingfield but is now twelve pounds higher in the weights from the first of those wins and things will be tougher for him here. So for the winner we return to Trinculo.
