ASHPAN SAM got taken off his feet over 5f at York last week but was staying on strongly at the death. This fast 6f looks tailor-made for John Spearing's sprinter and the rains appear to have arrived just in time. Ryan Moore keeps faith with the five-year-old and he can recoup losses incurred on the Knavesmire. Barracuda Boy is 5lb higher than when scoring at Wolverhampton but there should be more to come from lightly-raced Ascot winner Intrinsic and Ayr maiden winner Watchable. Secondo is better than he showed at Newmarket but Desert Command has more to do than when making a successful reappearance at Bath and Muthmir hasn't raced since August. Humidor may also need this and it's almost three years since he was winning in Listed company. Crew Cut was successful three times last year and is back on a winning mark.
