Hazyview can land this Listed prize at the expense of Etesaal, with Weightless and Enforcer just two more interesting contenders. Hazyview was one to follow as a two-year-old, but Neville Callaghan's front-runner seemed to lose his zest last term with a number of poor efforts. However he has bounced back to form this season, with the Group 3 Diomed Stakes at Epsom and a Listed contest at Windsor added to his portfolio, and although beaten on each of his last three outings, one of those was in the Eclipse at Sandown where he finished just four-lengths behind Oratorio and Motivator. That form surely gives him the edge over the rest here, with Etesaal the best of them. The latter beat Big Bad Bob at Epsom last time and now re-opposes on five-pound better terms so has him held at least. Weightless tried to force the pace in Group 3 company at Windsor on his latest start but was a spent force by halfway, and has failed to build on his victory in the Gordon Richards Stakes at Sandown in which Hazyview was behind. Enforcer made no impression on his last try over the course and distance, but that too was in a Group 3. We shall take Hazyview to lead his rivals a merry dance from pillar-to-post.
