Verdict

A couple of these are clear of the rest at the weights but both are having their first start of the year. Mount Logan won a valuable handicap here in July and Mr Singh won a Group 3 at Newmarket in the same month. The latter is less exposed and preferred on his reappearance but BATEEL has not finished improving yet. She found only progressive stablemate Carnachy too good in Listed company over track and trip on last month’s comeback and should be sharper for this. Eye of The Storm never figured in heavy ground last month but finished third in last year’s renewal and is preferred to winning handicappers Sweeping Up and Noble Gift.
