Verdict
DEBDEBDEB had the misfortune of coming up against a rejuvenated Ted Spread last month but the handicapper has not overreacted and, with a proven ability to show her form on any surface, we are confident that Andrew Balding's filly can gain compensation. Great Fighter bombed out badly at York though he'd looked a useful recruit when dotting up at Wolverhampton last October and it could be folly to dismiss him on the basis of one moderate run. Lion Beacon appeared a sure-fire future winner when second at Doncaster last month and Amanda Perrett's gelding cannot be ruled out off the same mark. Arty Campbell may fare better for the switch to a faster surface but Party Line is yet to fire this term. Mark Johnston's mare is a regular in decent staying events, however, and her stable is no stranger to saddling winners at the course.
