Clear Spring beat old rival Englishman and Charles Molson when winning at Newbury last week. Despite a penalty, John Spearing's sprinter is actually a pound lower than when only beaten half-a-length over this course and distance in October, though he was behind Huntsmans Close, Charles Molson and SEEKING MAGIC at Windsor last June. The latter can reverse Newmarket running with Englishman here on better terms and land this as he's now only a pound higher than when successful over course and distance in 2013. Shared Equity beat Go Far at York in the autumn so also enters calculations but Ruwaiyan is facing a tough task on his reappearance under top weight.
