In depth

Verdict

Variyann made a winning start for Archie Watson at Haydock and it would be no surprise to see him follow up under a penalty given he’s been lightly raced. But BALGEES TIME is getting 11lb and it’s about time Tom Ward’s filly was getting her head back in front having made the frame three times on the all-weather over the winter. Thorn would have claims on his second at Epsom in September as he can race off the same mark.
