Lack of form on today's likely soft ground makes this tricky. Poole Harbour was an easy winner of a maiden on the Polytrack last time but finished last in soft going at this track before that while Ziefhd ran as though something was amiss at Newbury last month. LOVE TALE will need to improve in this company but is at least consistent having only just failed to record a hat-trick on her latest start and Mark Rimell's filly is the tentative selection. Taizong is one to note on his handicap debut and Muaamara is preferred to Le King Beau dropping down a grade.
Muaamara 10-1 (9-1) Behind, beaten when hampered over 1f out, 10th of 11, 10l behind Powerful Wind (8-7) at York 5f 3yo hcp 0-95 (3) gf in May.
Ziefhd 9-1 (9-2) Led until halfway, soon weakened, last of 17, 44l behind Emman Bee (8-7) at Newbury 7f 3yo fll hcp 0-85 (4) gs in May.
Love Tale 13-8fav (9-5) Tracked leaders, ridden and no impression over 1f out until stayed on strongly to go 2nd final strides, not reach winner, 2nd of 5, 1/2l behind Show Flower (9-4) at Brighton 6f 3yo hcp 0-75 (5) gf.
Le King Beau (USA) 12-1 (8-11) Close up, ridden over 1f out, chased winner entering final furlong, kept on, 2nd of 8, 1 1/4l behind Blanc De Chine (9-2) at Goodwood 5f 3yo hcp 0-75 (5) gd in May.
Taizong (IRE) 9-1 (9-3) Tracked winner, ridden 2f out, kept on one pace final furlong, 2nd of 10, 1 3/4l behind All Or Nothin (9-3) at Chester 6f 3yo mdn (4) gf in May.
Poole Harbour (IRE) 3-1fav (9-3) Made all, gone well 2f out, kept on strongly final furlong, ridden out, unchallenged, won at Kempton 7f 3yo mdn stks (5) pol in May beating Henry Allingham (9-3) by 4l, 14 ran.
