A tight contest on paper with only 2lb separating the four runners on official ratings. HIDDEN JUSTICE makes most appeal though as there was cut in the ground when he finished second over 1m4f at this track a week ago and Amanda Perrett's charge is just preferred to stablemate Arch Villain. The latter scored at Kempton on last month's return to action and should be thereabouts once again while Petaluma showed some progress at Pontefract last time without looking like winning. Hyperlink has yet to show any consistency and is hard to recommend on that score.
Arch Villain (IRE) 8-1 (9-0) Tracked leaders on inside, not clear run 2f out to over 1f out, ridden and ran on well on outside final furlong, led post, won at Kempton 1m 4f 3yo hcp 0-75 (5) pol in May beating Hector's Chance (8-11) by ns, 11 ran.
Hidden Justice (IRE) 8-1 (8-7) Held up in touch, headway and switched left over 1f out, stayed on well to chase winner inside final furlong, always held, 2nd of 8, 2l behind Spanish Wedding (8-13) at Goodwood 1m 4f 3yo hcp 0-85 (4) gs.
Hyperlink (IRE) 10-1 (9-3) Went left start, pulled hard, prominent, led after 2f out, hung left and headed over 2f out, weakened quickly, last of 12, 38l behind Bishop Roko (9-3) at Newbury 1m 2f 3yo mdn (4) gs in May.
Petaluma 8-1 (9-2) Mid-division, ridden over 2f out, not much room over 1f out, never on terms, 6th of 11, 5l behind Forget Me Not Lane (9-2) at Pontefract 1m 2f 3yo hcp 0-80 (4) gd.
