Verdict

Estate stays really well but is probably high enough in the weights at present so may be best left out of calculations and a safer bet looks to be ACT THREE, who gets the vote with Tagula Blue rated the pick of the remainder. The selection is less exposed than most of these after just six career starts but she has already shown a liking for cut in the ground and remains feasibly well treated so she gets the vote. Wester Ross is gradually slipping to a fair mark and any market support for him would be of interest, while Vinces has yet to prove that he handles ground as soft as this but he should do so on pedigree. Rock 'n' Roller is hard to recommend on recent form but he may do better on the more testing ground today, although a bigger threat is likely to come from Tagula Blue. The Ian Williams-trained gelding was good value for his win at Warwick last time and he has every chance off just a 3lb higher mark today but preference is for Act Three.
