A very tight handicap that may go to Red Romeo, who is just preferred over Presto Shinko and Arfinnit, who have been in fair form this term and will not make it easy for the selection. While it will also be very dangerous to rule out Eisteddfod, who is open to any amount of improvement and should be thereabouts if handling the step up in trip. However, Red Romeo has looked as if in need of his first two outings this term and can be expected to strip a lot fitter with those efforts now behind him. His best effort last season when -handing the useful Brunel a neck beating at Newcastle - reads very well in the context of this race and he will be very hard to beat if putting in a similar effort here. The nature of this track should help to bring Red Romeo's stamina into play and he is very capable of leading this lot home even though this trip is not exactly ideal for him.
