Serre Chevalier, Pango and Royal Prince are three against the field in this wide open handicap and the vote is given to Serre Chevalier. The selection has won his last two races in good style and although he is rising in the weights, he looks a progressive type and he is taken to defy the handicapper again under conditions that suit. Pango rates the main danger as he also won well last time out when beating Solar Power but this looks more competitive and he would not want any rain and at likely odds he looks worth opposing. Royal Prince is game and consistent and is sure to run his race but he looks weighted up to his best. However the first time visor may bring about some improvement. Malvern Light ran as if returning to form when third last time out and he looks to be on a handy mark but he is also wearing headgear for the first time which is off putting. Of the remainder Katiypour has conditions to suit and could run well at a price but in a trace where stakes should be kept to a minimum for the winner we return to Serre Chevalier.
