        Verdict

        RATHGAR has proved himself over the track and trip on ground with some give having run well on both starts here. He looks the one to beat though King's Code found 7f at Chester too sharp and should do better over the extra. Ramensky didn't show much on his debut here but was only beaten just over a length on similar ground to this at Yarmouth and should improve again. Alumnus, an €80,000 yearling, is bred for middle-distance being a half-brother to four winners around this trip and out of a very smart dam from the family of the brilliant Alborada. Torre Del Oro is another bred with stamina in mind.
