Verdict

Lincoln failed to cope with a rise in the weights at Haydock last time having landed a double in September. BOY IN THE BAR also missed out on a hat-trick when runner-up at Ripon last time but that was in a Class 2 sprint and he gets another chance in this lower grade. Englishman posted a better effort at Haydock having slipped down the weights while Lady Macapa won in soft ground over 5f at Windsor earlier and steps back up in distance. Charles Molson was fourth in the consolation race for the Stewards’ Cup here and has raced over 7f subsequently while Ice Age and Lightning Charlie are upped in class on the back of recent placed efforts.
