Verdict
Pettochside bids for a fifth course victory but the ground may have dried out too much for John Bridger’s veteran. Ripon winner Abel Handy doesn’t appeal as the type to defy a penalty but his yard is back among the winners. Dream Today has a chance on his latest second in a much better race over course and distance last month but Rock Boy Grey has become disappointing and is now visored and Quick Breath is best on the all-weather. BEYOND EQUAL’s run over 7f here last time can be ignored and Stuart Kittow’s gelding slips further down the handicap so earns a tentative selection.
