Verdict
Ruwaiyan failed to cope with a 10lb rise at Ascot having won at Thirsk earlier. Front Page News raised in class off a 7lb higher mark for winning at Newmarket last time while Game Mascot is hard to assess on his first start for new connections having landed a race on the all-weather at Deauville in January. Oblitereight won his only start of 2013 on the Polytrack at Lingfield but the vote goes to DARK EMERALD. The latter scored on the Turf at Lingfield on his return to action and a 4lb rise could prove lenient with Kieren Fallon taking over the reins.
