Verdict

Chartwell House won on fast going at Haydock in June but is 10lb higher while novice winner New Business returned a beaten favourite at Sandown on his handicap debut when ahead of SCHOLARSHIP. But the latter has his ground today and gets the vote on an earlier victory at Newbury with Captain Cuddles well behind. There was little between third-placed Urban Sprawl and Thunder Ball in the Britannia at Ascot while Sophia's Starlight steps back up in trip, along with Alpha Capture, having already won four times this year.
