Blue Tomato has been in a rich vein of form of late but there is a suspicion that he may now be a shade high in the weights and preference in an ultra competitive handicap is for First Order, who gets the vote ahead of Gallantry. The last mentioned lost no caste in defeat behind Dabbers Ridge over seven furlongs at Ascot last time and he has to be respected on that evidence but he may not be as effective over this sharp six furlongs. Fantasy Believer goes well at this time of year but may now be a shade high in the weights, while Caribbean Coral is another that has been in good form but may have done his winning until getting some help from the handicapper. Nautical has been running consistently well of late but would probably prefer a softer surface, while High Ridge looked to be coming back to form at Pontefract last time and is another to consider. High Reach has been running better of late and could be of interest, while David Nicholls is as usual mob-handed and it would come as no surprise if he was to have the winner of another valuable sprint. First Order looks to be coming into form at the moment though and he looks worth a punt to resume winning ways off what appears to be a fair mark.
