        Verdict

        CARRIGNAVAR was third in Listed company on her final juvenile appearance in which she only beaten in a photo finish for the runner-up spot by subsequent Nell Gwyn winner and 1000 Guineas fifth Barefoot Lady. This looks a fair starting point for the new campaign and she seems likely to go on to better things. Poppy Seed wasn't disgraced in Listed company the last twice and looks the main threat despite topweight, whilst Desert Poppy, progressive last season, should have derived plenty of benefit from a respectable run at Doncaster. All-weather star Chevise is hard to assess back on turf but her record speaks for itself and she's greatly respected here.
