It would be nice to see Glory Awaits gain just the second victory of his career after his brilliant run in the 2000 Guineas behind Dawn Approach but he wasn't quite up to that form in the Irish version and, after ten starts, a couple of these may improve past him. The Jersey Stakes could hold the key to this as runner-up Montiridge and third-placed TAWHID are both engaged. The former has since won a Listed contest at Newmarket in very good style and will be difficult to beat but it's the Godolphin entry who gets the vote as the ground will have been too fast for him in the Jersey and he looks to have the scope to go on to better things. Baltic Knight gives Richard Hannon a strong second string as he arrives in good form having landed a Listed contest at York while Snowboarder improved in Dubai during the winter and made a winning comeback in a Newmarket handicap.
