Elegant Statesman has now had five runs over fences and his latest, when tried over this trip for the first time, was his best effort so far. He's an obvious threat to all but TYLERS COTTAGE could be the one to see him off. Dermot Weld's charge is very lightly-raced for his age and could only finish third in this a year ago but he'll be tuned to the minute and can gain his first victory under Rules. Thomond has been showing some good form and ran well behind Indevan at Tipperary and Jarob, who has had two runs over fences, showed himself in good heart with a victory over hurdles at Bellewstown. Abolitionist also scored over timber at the same meeting and has experience over the bigger obstacles as does Aranhill Chief, another Bellewstown hurdles winner. Our Man Zebo, a winner between the flags and over hurdles, is an interesting newcomer to chasing and one to note under regular rider Barry Geraghty.
