Verdict

AFFORDALE FURY began his career with victories between the flags, a bumper and a maiden hurdle on this track. He ended the last campaign with runner-up spots in Grade 1 novice hurdle company at Cheltenham and Punchestown and looks a classy recruit to fences. Franciscan Rock and Favori De Champdou were third and fourth in that Punchestown race, six lengths behind the selection. Both are also smart recruits and the latter was in touch when falling on his chasing debut at Gowran. Meetingofthewaters was having his first start for Willie Mullins when well beaten on his chasing debut here but Daily Present, a winner between the flags and twice successful over timber, is an interesting entry following a very long break.
