Stormy Tale won on soft ground here last month but has been unable to cope with a 6lb rise. Njord, who finished almost 2l behind in that race here, has since won easily on testing ground at the Curragh but an 8lb rise gives him plenty to find to reverse the form. Eastern Racer has found his form and followed his victory at Thurles with a fine effort in a huge field at the Curragh so looks certain to go well with Tom Madden's claim a bonus. Lightning Amber ended last year with a victory in a Leopardstown maiden but it's his close second to Broome on this track earlier that puts him in the frame for this despite a long absence. LAETHANTA SAOIRE was having only his fourth start when a close third in an apprentice race at Naas in June and with Kevin Manning taking over and a 1lb drop in the ratings she looks ready to add to her earlier Dundalk victory.
