Verdict

Popmurphy, runner-up in a Listed race on the Flat in 2010, found the heavy ground against him at Roscommon last time and conditions won't be much better here. Shrapnel is another whose best form has been on quicker ground and also over longer trips but Minella Reception will relish the underfoot conditions and was a little unfortunate when beaten a head on his hurdling debut after a convincing bumper success at Listowel. RORY O'MOORE, the winner of three bumpers and runner-up in a Grade 2, has performed disappointingly in his two runs to date over timber but he has plenty of talent and hopefully can put those runs behind him and gain his first success over obstacles.
