Dermot Weld has won an astonishing 10 of the last 16 runnings and though Unaccompanied will obviously be fancied she didn't exactly distinguish herself on her debut at Naas and will need to improve dramatically. Stablemate Duc De Savoie has had plenty of chances as has the luckless Born To Excel but Barrow Island wasn't far behind the useful Wade Giles at the Curragh and can make his presence felt. MCTAGGART was totally unfancied on her debut at Limerick in April but showed some promise and made good progress when runner-up to Priomhbhean at Leopardstown on her only subseqent start. The winner looks very useful and McTaggart can go one better.
