Verdict

A short respite before the big event for punters here. Tony Martin and Nina Carberry team up with the front-running EL GRAN TORINO, who was caught close home by Tantalising over this trip at Bellewstown last time. He can go one better as Prince Of Dubai, who looks certain to be winning soon after a couple of very promising efforts, hasn't raced beyond 1m1f. The high-class hurdler De Valira should make his stamina count but the biggest threat may emerge from the once-raced Mutasharef, who is blinkered on only his second start and will appreciate the longer trip after showing up nicely on his debut at Leopardstown.
