Placed in all three starts in pattern company so far, ALMELA (NAP) separated a couple of much higher rated rivals when second in a Group 3 at Leopardstown on her belated reappearance. Dermot Weld’s filly should be sharper today and can give weight away to the three-year-olds on these terms. The latter group are led by Glamorous Approach, fourth in the Listed Galtres Stakes at York last time and rated 5lb higher than Ballydoyle filly How High The Moon. John Oxx has a good record in this but like the remainder of the field, Listed runner-up Avenante has plenty to find at the weights with the selection.
