Three-year-olds have a poor recent record which is against Chicago but he looked a useful middle-distance prospect at Down Royal and looks certain to go well. Olympiad has been brought along slowly, no doubt with this race in mind, and isn't too highly tried on his handicap debut but Clarach, though greatly respected, will be having her first start below 1m6f on her 30th outing. Shamiran gained his first Turf victory on his 22nd start at the Curragh and has been raised 6lb while Authorization, another three-year-old, will find this much tougher than the maiden he won at the Curragh. INIS MEAIN was engaged here last night but is in such good heart that he could conceivably win both races. In his absence Chicago would be the one to go with.
