In depth

Verdict

Winning bumper Doctor Duffy looks a smart staying prospect and though no match for the prolific Peregrine Run at Cork was conceding 10lb and not beaten far. Longchamp winner Foveros made a successful debut for Willie Mullins at Cork and was expected to follow suit at Ballinrobe but was caught close home by Morosini. He'll improve for that and Paul Townend rides rather than the mare Little Nugget, who he was on board for an easy victory at Limerick. Macgiloney hails from a yard in top form though he's taking on better company and ASH HILL is in the 'could be anything' category. Joseph O'Brien's bumper winner made a sparkling debut over timber when beating a huge field over this trip at Punchestown and looks a very smart prospect. Popong completes the line-up and is no forlorn hope after impressing at Roscommon.
