Verdict

Code Of Law has won twice here over a slightly shorter trip, beating Spiritofchartwell in May. The latter is now 4lb better off, however, and should get closer. Turban is capable on his day and slips further down the weights while Ruby Russet probably needed the experience at Newton Abbot earlier this month. CELTIC THUNDER (NAP) has only been placed once in 12 starts under Rules but has won four times between the flags and may well find some improvement for the switch to Olly Murphy.
