In depth

Verdict

AMERICAN GERRY may have been beaten 25 lengths at Exeter at the start of the month but did have excuses. His stable is in much better form now and he can make it third-time lucky over hurdles ahead of Notlongtillmay, a promising fourth at Haydock despite pulling too hard, and Wells Glory, who jumped poorly when failing to land the odds at Plumpton last month.
