In depth

Verdict

Eight of Good News’ 12 career starts have come around here and he’s won twice. Compadre is a strong traveller over fences and 8lb lower over hurdles but is 0-9 over the smaller obstacles and prefers more give in the ground. Mantovani is still a maiden but has run well the last twice and Shantou Sunset finally came good at Market Rasen last month. KING COOL was third over course and distance in January when 8lb higher. He was entitled to need his run at Bangor over a trip too far and could go well at a price in this from the track’s leading yard.
