In depth

Verdict

GREANETEEN showed the benefit of a comeback run at Sandown by bolting up at Exeter. Always travelling strongly, he had plenty more in the locker passing the post and should have few problems defying a penalty. The Flying Sofa is the unknown quantity as he had useful bumper form last season, though he may find the top weight has too much for him on this occasion. On The Slopes beat a previous winner when making a successful start to his hurdles career so isn’t out of this but it’s hard to make a case for any of the others.
