In depth

Verdict

A wide open novice handicap hurdle with Scarface, Nods Star, Angie's Double and Roman Candle all in with a chance but the vote goes to the last named. Roman Candle comes here on the back of a decent second toTinstre at Worcester last time out. Although he has proved very frustrating to win with we feel this is a good opportunity to break his maiden tag over hurdles. Scareface has to respected from the Jonjo O'Neill yard. His form over the winter has been indifferent but with yard having had a virus over that period he may come back to form so is worth noting in the market. Nods Star has been knocking on the door of late and comes here in form but lacks any real finishing power but will have an each way chance as will Angie's Double who comes here on the back of a win in selling company but more is needed against better opposition. So for the winner we return to Roman Candle.
