Haafel looks the pick of this modest bunch and can beat Prayerful and Lucky Pete. Gary Moores's gelding put in his best display of the season when chasing home a rejuvenated Rakassa at Folkestone earlier this month. He would probably have won that event, but for making a hash of the last fence and can gain compensation here. Prayerful hasn't shown too much in his three chases to date, but this hurdle winner takes a step down in trip today and we may see a better performance. Lucky Pete was not so lucky last time at Folkestone, unseating his rider at the third from home. He had previously beaten Kitimat over course and distance and must come into the reckoning on that effort. Of the others, Colonial Sunset is capable of going close on his best form, but if Haafel keeps his jumping together he should collect first prize
