The drop in trip should help Cansalrun get back on track and she is preferred over Festive Chimes and Penny Stall, whereas Pearly Bay is a potential improver and one to seriously monitor in the betting. However, the last named does have to improve significantly on her bumper form and could just be one to for future at this stage. Penny Stall has run creditably in defeat on several occasions and the daughter of Silver Patriarch deserves to pick up a race somewhere along the line. However, she has found little for pressure since switching to hurdles and her stamina remains a doubt. Festive Chimes almost caused a big shock when she was second at Fakenham last month and is respected on that form. Still, she too has to prove herself over this trip and the evidence for supporting her claims is inconclusive. Therefore, we are prepared to give Cansalrun another chance to deliver the goods as she reverts to her optimum trip. The Robert Alner-trained mare also has experience of the course and is adaptable regarding the ground; which al helps to bolster her claims in a weak race like this.
