Verdict

A race that should not take much winning and now that he has got that first success under his belt SCOTSBROOK CLOUD looks capable of following up. Bought out of a seller by David Evans, the Welsh handler got a win out of the gelding first time up at Ffos Las on fast ground. The slight drop in trip should not inconvenience and he comes here without a penalty, so we will stick with him. Romney Marsh is better suited by soft ground and shorter than this and Bon Spiel stays well enough to prove a better proposition. Idris has been off the track for 20 months but was previously good enough to win a novices' handicap chase off 118, so he looks very well handicapped if fit and firing.
