In depth

Verdict

Emma Lavelle's string remains largely out of form so last month's Chepstow third Troy Tempest may be worth opposing here. Dusky Bob is probably also worth watching on his first start over fences while Dust In Time will have to improve markedly on his victory in a maiden hunter chase at Folkestone to land the spoils here. Ere Alfie doesn't stand much racing but has won here and at Ludlow this season, though has gone up 11lb since his last success so we prefer ARTURO UNO. The eight-year-old finally appears to be getting his act together over fences and appreciated the step up in trip when just beaten over 3m5f at Warwick last month - a similar effort should suffice here.
