Verdict

Another small field with just the six runners due to face the starter, headed in the weights by Fatal Flaw, who showed little over hurdles or fences when last tried in November but has won on the all-weather since. Pounsley Mill would have claims on his best if fit after a long absence but is another probably best watched. Harik is another with an lay off to overcome. Gary Moore's gelding has not jumped a fence in public since December but does come here fit from a spell on the sand. He could be of interest, as could Southwell winner Arctic Spirit who blotted his copybook at Hereford earlier this month. With Newick Park seemingly on the downgrade, this is best left to King of Mommur. The son of Fairy King does not get much further than two miles over fences but this is a sharp 2m2f and, coming here on the back of an all-the-way success at Leicester last month, he gets the vote to follow up.
