Verdict
This is the richest race on the card with HELLO BUD getting our backing ahead of Very Cool and one at an each way price, Monzon. Our selection won by a country mile last time out at Kelso following a switch to Nigel Twiston-Davies' yard. He showed oodles of stamina over two miles six, and having previously won in very testing conditions over four miles, we know he'll get the trip and handle the conditions. David Pipe's Very Cool is more than consistent, with four wins in his last six outings, and very versatile, coming out on top over a variety of trips and in varying conditions. It could be a right battle royal between those two. At a price, we quite like th look of Monzon, a course winner here last month, he was back in fourth when chasing a hat-trick recently when a mistake put paid to his chances. There would be question marks about the trip, but that can be said for a number of these. But not our selection, which is Hello Bud.
