Evan Williams sets a poser here by saddling two of the five runners and both of his runners, Galtee View and Sungates, have to be respected but preference is for Cowboyboots. The selection made an encouraging reappearance on unsuitably soft ground at Stratford last month and, on better ground here, he has an obvious chance off just a 1lb higher mark. Waynesworld is strictly held by the selection on running last time, while dour stayer Hazeljack could do with a softer surface. Galtee View, who has had plenty of racing this term, is marginally preferred to Sungates of Evan Williams pair but Cowboyboots has conditions to suit and he gets the vote.
